Your Robinhood Agentic Account
Trading with Astor uses a dedicated Robinhood Agentic Account — a cash account in your name, held by Robinhood. Astor does not hold your money or securities.
When you connect, Robinhood will ask you to authorize the connection. Astor never sees your Robinhood username or password.
What Astor can do with this connection
- Place equity buy and sell orders in your Agentic Account — only the ones you approve
- See your positions, orders, balances, and transaction history
What Astor cannot do
- Move money. Astor cannot withdraw, transfer, or deposit funds. Deposits and withdrawals happen only in the Robinhood app.
- Trade options or crypto. Astor's connection is limited to equities.
- Trade on margin. The Agentic Account is a cash account, so you can only buy with available cash.
- Place any order you have not approved.
Important — the scope of Robinhood's authorization
Robinhood's authorization screen grants read access to all of your Robinhood accounts, including any IRA or managed accounts — not only your Agentic Account. Astor advises you, and places orders, only in your Agentic Account. Astor does use information about your other accounts — your other Robinhood accounts and any accounts you link through Plaid — to personalize its advice, including choosing the themes and stocks it proposes to you.
Robinhood's authorization screen also describes the broadest access the connection supports — including options trading, crypto trading, and watchlists. Astor's systems do not use those permissions and cannot place option or crypto orders.
You can revoke this connection at any time in Robinhood's Security and Privacy settings, or by disconnecting in Astor. Revoking stops future orders. It does not cancel an order that has already been sent to Robinhood.
Astor is your investment adviser
Astor is registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and has a fiduciary duty to you. We are required to act in your best interest and to put your interests ahead of our own. That duty applies to every recommendation Astor makes, including the trading proposals you will see here. It cannot be waived, and nothing in this document or in your agreement with Astor limits it.
You make the decision
Astor does not have discretionary authority over your account. Every order is a proposal until you approve it. You can change the amount, decline it, or do nothing. If you do nothing, the proposal expires at the close of the next trading day and no order is placed.
Astor's recommendations are generated by artificial intelligence
Astor's system builds your portfolio and sizes each position using AI models together with quantitative and fundamental analysis, based on the profile information you have given us. AI systems have real limitations: they can be wrong, they depend on data that may be delayed or incomplete, and patterns they identify in the past may not hold in the future. Astor's compliance program reviews the system, but individual proposals are generated automatically.
Investing involves the risk of loss
You may lose money, including your entire investment. Past performance does not predict future results.
How your orders are placed
When you approve a proposal, Astor sends the order to Robinhood immediately. Unless you set a limit price, orders are market orders, which means they execute at the price available at the time — which may be better or worse than the price shown when you approved. A limit order executes only at your limit price or better, and may not execute at all. Buys are placed for a dollar amount and may result in fractional shares, unless you choose a number of shares. A sell of an entire position is placed for the exact number of shares held at that moment.
Astor uses one broker
This feature works only through Robinhood. Astor does not compare execution across brokers and does not receive any compensation from Robinhood. Because Astor is not able to shop your order elsewhere, you may not receive terms as favorable as you might obtain at another broker.
Orders can be rejected or delayed
Robinhood may reject, delay, or fail to execute an order, and because of how this connection works, Robinhood may not display its usual warnings or the reason for a rejection. Astor will show you the status of every order it sends, but Astor does not control Robinhood's systems and has no service-level or uptime commitment from Robinhood.
Astor does not monitor your account continuously
Astor generates proposals from your profile and market data on a periodic basis. Astor does not watch your account in real time, does not place stop-loss orders, and does not automatically rebalance or correct drift. If your circumstances change, update your profile.
Astor cannot move your money
Astor cannot withdraw, transfer, or deposit funds in your Robinhood account, and does not hold your assets. Robinhood is your custodian and will send you account statements. Review them.
What Astor trades
This feature places orders in U.S.-listed equities only. It does not trade options, cryptocurrency, mutual funds, or bonds, and it does not use margin.
Limits on proposals — not on you
Astor caps the buys it proposes in its periodic reviews: no single buy proposed in a review will exceed 20% of your account's value, and each basket shows a recommended ceiling. Those limits apply to what Astor proposes — not to what you approve. You can edit amounts (up to $100,000 per order), approve proposal after proposal in the same stock, and end up concentrated in one or a few names. A small basket can put most of your money in a single stock. A concentrated account can lose value faster than a diversified one. Diversification is your responsibility too.
Your acknowledgment
By connecting your Robinhood account, you acknowledge that you have read this agreement, and you understand that Astor is your investment adviser, that Astor's proposals are investment recommendations, and that no order will be placed unless you approve it.
